Shati (www.shati.om) is a website owned and operated by AMWAJ, a company based in the Sultanate of Oman ("AMWAJ", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use this website or contact us. We aim to follow Oman's Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022) and its executive regulation.

1. Who is responsible

AMWAJ is the controller of personal data collected through this website. Contact: info@shati.om.

2. What we collect

Emails you send us: when you write to info@shati.om, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as your name, company, country, the service you are interested in and your message. This site has no contact form and collects nothing until you send us an email.

3. Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and provide consultancy and company-registration services.
To send information you asked for. We send marketing messages only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
To keep the website secure and improve it.
To meet legal obligations, such as record keeping and know-your-customer checks when you become a client.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share it with service providers who help us run the website and email, with professional advisers, and with Omani authorities or registration bodies (for example the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion) when you ask us to file applications for you, or where the law requires it. Where data is processed outside Oman, we take reasonable steps to protect it.

5. Retention

We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. Client records are kept for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal and accounting requirements. We then delete or anonymise them.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy of it. Email info@shati.om and we will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No internet transmission, including email, is completely secure, so please do not send passwords or full payment details by email.

8. Third-party links

This site links to government and other third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9. Children

This website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
